A mixture of practical Yoga, Breathwork & Mindfulness tools, combined with Sound Healing and advice on Native Remedies, Complementary Therapies & Nutrition.

Exploring the scientifically proven benefits of Yoga postures, Breathing Practices, Sound Healing & Mindfulness Meditation in reducing The Stress Response and improving the functioning of The Immune System. Increasing our mental and physical resilience to Dis-ease. We cover many different topics, and each workshop will be accompanied by a comprehensive hand-out of resources for you to use and further suggested research.

Current Wellness Workshop Themes:

  • The Immune System, The Menopause, Stress & Anxiety, Sleep Solutions, Digestion Detox & Rebalance, Arthritis & Back/Joint Pain, Respiratory System, Endocrine System (Hormone Balancing), Lymphatic System, Heart Health.

What to expect

All workshops are approx. 2 hours and priced at £30 and include a smoothie and/or a herbal tea and home-made healthy snack. In some instances, there is an option to stay for a healthy Brunch or Supper for an extra fee.

Workshops are available as One to One Sessions, Private bookings or Corporate sessions.

Moat House is situated in the Suffolk countryside, set in just under 3 acres nestled in the beautiful village of Bardwell, approx. 10 miles from Bury St Edmunds. There is a bespoke Yoga Studio, Outdoor Heated Swimming Pool (summer), Hot Tub, Infra-Red Sauna, Therapy Room, Outdoor Yoga Space and a part landscaped and part wild garden with a 350 yr old Lime Tree.

In 2025 we offered our first Day Wellness Retreats for up to 12 participants, which were a great success.

“Yoga, Sound & Aromatherapy Retreat Day”

Aromatherapy harnesses the healing power of essential oils from plants and flowers to support the body’s natural ability to heal, recover from stress, and promote relaxation. We will use Aromatherapy oils to enhance our 90 min Yoga practice. Enjoy a Workshop on making our own cleansing balm and pulse point blend using essential oils and natural ingredients. Hot tub infused with essential oils rather than chlorine. (opt.Cold Plunge) A welcome smoothie, delicious lunch with a fresh herbs & edible flowers theme and a copy of a book on Aromatherapy. Finishing with a 60 min Restorative Sound Bath and time to relax and unwind. £125 pp including balm, pulse point roller and book. EARLY BIRD £105

What to expect

Workshops will either take place in the studio at Moat House Yoga or at The St John’s Centre in Bury St Edmunds (please check on Mind Body).

Retreats take place at Moat House Yoga where you can enjoy the studio, outdoor yoga space, gym, Infra Red sauna, heated swimming pool (summer), hot tub and gardens.

A relaxed, friendly atmosphere with no airs and graces needed, just come and be yourself.
